Do you love foxes? I adore them - the real ones but also mystical fairytale or folklore creatures. It is hard to talk about Japanese folklore without mentioning kitsune - shapeshifting spirit fox. It is a supernatural creature with godlike powers, and they become more and more powerful as it ages. Kitsunes can shapeshift into humans and that allows them to get really close to us. They are often described as tricksters, but also as spirit guardians. They can punish bad people and protect the good ones.
Kisunes may have up to 9 tails, with age their number increases. I made 3 tailed foxes, so you both still have room to grow :)
My miniature foxes are handmade from mineral, nontoxic jasmonate clay. They are similar in style, but each is also very unique. They do have numbers, so it`s easy to choose from.
If you decide to adopt one of these kitsunes, please have in mind that they are handmade in wabi-sabi style - they are perfectly imperfect, and each of them has its pros and floss. As you can see from the photos, the clay is porous, which creates quite a unique style, not covered with any varnish or glaze, and is heavy.
THESE KITSUNES ARE NOT TOYS.
Each of the foxes is white with red ornaments (except the last one), and each has 3 tails. The ornaments and color spots on foxes differ.
Each fox is approx. 5 cm in height (2 inches) and 7 cm (2.7 inches) in width at the widest part from the front leg to the end of the tail.
There are 6 designs of kitsune foxes to choose from - please check the photos - they are marked from 1 to 6. Once you are ordering, please pick the desirable number from the drop menu.
Kitsune number 6 is pure white, not painted (not even eyes or nose) - it`s great for DIY projects. But please note, that permanent markers are necessary to write or paint on these figurines without blurring or smearing the surface.
